VTM Pay: $39.07 - $61.05 / hour

This pay band is a starting point and is dependent on experience.

As a Veterinary Technician Manager, you will...

• Demonstrate highly advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate within your department, maintaining all related skills and knowledge.
• Create effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, communicated, and delivered.
• Serve as a subject-matter expert and resource to Technicians and Assistants regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development.
• Mentor staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills, and business knowledge.
• Identify conflicts in the workplace and seek assistance in resolution to foster effective working relationships.
• Coach staff to promote a culture of high performance and productivity.
• Communicate clearly with team members regarding new ideas, changes in protocol, policies, and upcoming changes.
• Build positive relationships across the hospital and administration to facilitate teamwork.
• Implement process improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate ongoing training with the Technician Training Manager.
• Document performance issues, assess team members during annual reviews, and provide leadership with performance management recommendations.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
