VTM Pay: $39.07 - $61.05 / hour

As a Veterinary Technician Manager, your responsibilities will include:

• Demonstrating advanced proficiency as a Veterinary Technician or Advanced Patient Care Associate, maintaining all related skills and knowledge.

• Creating effective working relationships with hospital leadership to ensure standards of care are understood, communicated, and upheld.

• Serving as a subject-matter expert and resource for Technicians and Assistants regarding daily operations, patient care, and skill development.

• Mentoring staff by demonstrating positive work habits, effective clinical skills, and business knowledge.

• Identifying conflicts in the workplace and seeking assistance for resolution to foster effective relationships.

• Coaching staff to promote a culture of high performance and productivity.

• Communicating clearly with team members about new ideas, protocol changes, policies, and upcoming changes.

• Building positive relationships across the hospital and administration to promote teamwork.

• Implementing process improvement initiatives.

• Collaborating with the Technician Training Manager to schedule ongoing training.

• Documenting performance issues, conducting annual reviews, and advising hospital leadership on performance management and discipline.

• Performing other duties as assigned.
