Job summary

Eye Care For Animals Tampa is seeking an experienced Practice Leader to guide our hospital team and enhance patient and client care. The PL role is 70% Veterinary Technician work and 30% leadership, overseeing hiring, budgets, and KPIs.

You will foster a positive culture, drive CQI, and ensure service standards while coordinating with leadership to maintain a safe, efficient practice.

Qualifications

• Requires 5+ years veterinary technician/assistant experience.
• Licensed veterinary technician in good standing.
• Proficient with IV catheter placement, blood work and injections (IV/IM/SQ).
• Experience monitoring anesthesia and using monitoring equipment.
• Ability to lead, manage and coach staff at all levels.
• Demonstrated budgeting and financial reporting skills (P&L).

Responsibilities

• Oversee hospital business activities including staffing, training and budgeting.
• Monitor and analyze KPIs and implement improvements.
• Maintain inventory and inventory control systems; enforce safety procedures.
• Lead and support staff, including hiring and firing decisions.
• Promote a positive culture, teamwork and CQI to meet goals.
• Communicate clinic values, standards of service and care to the team.
