Job summary

Ethos Veterinary Health's SAGE Concord hospital seeks a Surgery Clinical Lead Veterinary Technician to guide a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants in a high-level specialty setting with board-certified surgeons and anesthesiologists. This leadership role emphasizes mentorship, collaboration, and clinical excellence.

You will drive anesthesia nursing care, support diagnostics and treatments, and foster a positive hospital culture while advancing patient outcomes in Northern California.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of recent veterinary clinical experience.
  • Active California RVT license preferred.
  • Previous leadership or mentoring experience preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of anesthesia monitoring, CRIs, drug calculations, and treatment planning.
  • Excellent communication, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.

Responsibilities

  • Lead, mentor, and support a team of RVTs and Veterinary Assistants within the Surgery department.
  • Foster excellence in patient care, workflow efficiency, and team communication.
  • Provide coaching, training, and performance feedback to support team development.
