Job summary

BluePearl Pet Hospital in Sarasota, FL seeks a knowledgeable Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced Internal Medicine department. You will liaise between internists and clients, handling histories, care instructions, lab results, and updates while assisting with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures, radiographs, and sample collection.

The role requires strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills and a focus on safety and accuracy.

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician status preferred or required.
• Strong anesthesia and phlebotomy skills required.
• Experience assisting with ultrasound and endoscopy procedures is ideal.

Responsibilities

• Set up and monitor CRI and anesthesia.
• Induce, monitor and recover anesthesia.
• Assist with ultrasound, radiology, and endoscopic procedures.
• Take radiographs and collect lab samples.
• Discharge patients with owner education and post-care instructions.
• Communicate with clients via phone, email, and in person.
