Job summary

VERG in Brooklyn, NY is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our Internal Medicine team. You will support advanced procedures, perform nursing tasks, and serve as the primary link between Internists and pet owners, guiding care and education throughout hospitalization and discharge.

Qualifications

• Experience & skills in advanced nursing (IV catheters, anesthetic induction, diagnostics).

Responsibilities

• Assist with endoscopic and ultrasound procedures and advanced radiology tasks.
• Perform IV catheter placements, endotracheal intubations, and anesthetic inductions; maintain scope equipment.
• Lead client communication and provide updates on histories, labs, and treatment plans.
• Educate clients on at-home care, including fluids, insulin, and feeding tube management.
