Job summary

WellHaven Pet Health is seeking a Veterinary Technician to support veterinarians by delivering high-quality care, educating clients, and maintaining detailed patient charts. The role involves laboratory work, anesthesia monitoring, and assisting with surgeries onsite.

You will educate clients on wellness plans, animal care, nutrition, and disease prevention, while ensuring accurate records and efficient hospital operations. Training and mentorship are provided.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent; associate degree a plus.
• Valid CVT, RVT, or LVT certification as required by state.
• At least 1 year of veterinary hospital experience.
• Onsite work only; remote work not available.

Responsibilities

• Assist in examination, treatment, and monitoring of animals under a veterinarian's supervision.
• Prepare and analyze laboratory samples and maintain accurate patient records.
• Assist in surgical procedures, monitor anesthesia, and provide post-operative care.
• Educate clients about Wellness Plans, animal care, and disease prevention.
• Maintain thorough medical charting and ensure equipment is properly maintained.
