Job summary

CityVet Career Center in Addison, TX is seeking Veterinary Technicians to join our team. A Veterinary Technician Assistant will be considered with a minimum of 1-year experience.

The VT is responsible for maintaining excellent patient care and helping the Veterinarian by handling technical tasks and communication with clients. Benefits include health, life and disability insurance, PTO, 401k, and more.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Ability to restrain animals safely and effectively.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medications.
• Strong organizational and communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Veterinarians and prep patients for surgery.
• Obtain samples for testing and monitor post-op patients.
• Test samples and help interpret results.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and anesthesia as directed.
• Communicate with clients about care plans and next steps.
• Support front office team as needed.
