Job summary

CityVet Capitol Hill is seeking a Veterinary Technician to join our team in Capitol Hill. The VT helps the veterinarian provide care, streamline operations, and keep clients informed. A minimum of 1 year of veterinary experience is preferred, and a high school diploma or GED is required.

Salary ranges from $22 to $25 per hour, with benefits including 401(k) match, paid time off, health/dental/vision coverage, and telemedicine for full-time staff.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must be able to lift 50 lbs.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology.
• Ability to safely restrain animals.

Responsibilities

• Prep patients for surgery, administer anesthesia, take x-rays, and monitor post-op.
• Obtain samples for testing (stool, blood, etc.).
• Test samples and help interpret results.
• Administer medications and vaccines as directed by the veterinarian.
• Assist client service team and communicate with clients.
• Maintain patient care and support clinic operations.
