BluePearl Pet Hospital in Katy, TX is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize and expand your skills while working alongside talented veterinary professionals.

Schedule: Full-Time

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
2. Triage emergency cases upon arrival, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
3. Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
4. Understand normal ranges of patient vital signs, including heart and respiratory rate, temperature, blood pressure, and oxygen saturation.
5. Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting veterinarians to any changes.
6. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
7. Calculate medical math (including infusion rates) and administer medications appropriately.
8. Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
9. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
10. Mentor and train co-workers, fostering a supportive environment.
11. Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
