BluePearl Pet Hospital in Spring, TX is hiring an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our team!

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician for our ER Department. This role offers an exciting opportunity to utilize and expand your veterinary skills while working alongside talented professionals.

Schedule: Full-Time

Responsibilities include:

1. Inducing, monitoring, and recovering anesthesia, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
2. Triage emergency cases, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
3. Performing digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
4. Understanding normal ranges of vital signs and alerting Veterinarian to any changes.
5. Obtaining and interpreting blood pressure and other vital signs.
6. Initiating CPR for at-risk patients.
7. Calculating medical math, administering medications appropriately.
8. Performing phlebotomy and placing intravenous catheters.
9. Placing and maintaining feeding tubes and central line catheters.
10. Mentoring and training team members.
11. Addressing client concerns with patience and empathy.
