BluePearl Pet Hospital in Blaine, MN is looking for Veterinary Technicians to join our team!

We are offering a SIGN-ON BONUS for qualified technicians!

Position: Veterinary Technician (CVT preferred, but not required.)

Work Schedule: Full Time: Variety of Shifts Available - Day/Night

Pay Range APCA I/VTIII: $22.15 - $41.75/hour

This pay band depends on local veterinary licensing, experience, and advancement through our competency assessment tool.

Competitive Shift Differentials: Earn more with our shift differentials!

• Weekday Night (Mon-Thu 6p to 8a): $3.50
• Weekend Day (Sat-Sun 8a to 6p): $3.50
• Weekend Night (Fri-Sun 6p to 8a): $5.00

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases as they arrive, including obtaining vital signs such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and positioning.
• Understand normal ranges of patient vital signs and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical math and administer medications via appropriate routes and durations.
• Perform phlebotomy and place intravenous catheters in peripheral vessels.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train other team members.
• Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
