Department Overview
The pediatric emergency department at Children’s Minnesota Minneapolis campus is the only freestanding pediatric Level I trauma center in the area. We care for over 48,000 patients annually, treating nearly 40% of all pediatric trauma in the Twin Cities. Our team provides critical care, telehealth, and transport services, emphasizing social, economic, and cultural diversity, and adhering to our core value of putting “Kids First.” We focus on age-appropriate, family-centered care, minimizing procedural pain, and fostering teamwork, safety, and professional growth.
Position Summary
Under supervision by licensed personnel, the Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) performs various functions supporting patient care in urgent or emergency situations. The EMT receives directions from physicians and nurses and provides technical support to optimize care.
