Job summary

The PARC, a Thrive Pet Healthcare Partner in Fort Worth, TX, seeks an ER Veterinary Technician to deliver hands-on care, assist with anesthesia, and support patients through emergency treatment and discharge.

You will work in a 24/7 ER/ critical care setting, collaborating with veterinarians and support staff to provide compassionate, high-quality care to in-house patients and those needing urgent care.

Qualifications

  • 2+ years of emergency veterinary technician experience.
  • ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials strongly encouraged.
  • Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting.
  • Strong critical-thinking and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail in fast-moving situations.
  • Comfort working with ICU patients and advanced diagnostics.

Responsibilities

  • Supporting veterinarians during emergency cases.
  • Delivering emergency first aid and advanced nursing care to injured or critical patients.
  • Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical and post-operative care.
  • Preparing patients and instruments for emergency procedures.
  • Obtaining and monitoring vital signs, including blood pressure and SpO₂.
  • Collecting lab samples (blood, urine, tissue) and performing in-house diagnostics.
  • Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment.
  • Administering medications and treatments as prescribed.
  • Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records.
  • Supporting patient flow through admissions, treatment, and discharge.
  • Maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment, and exam areas.
  • Using safe restraint techniques and following hospital protocols.
  • Collaborating closely with doctors, technicians, and support teams.

As an ER Veterinary Technician, you’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands‑on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

What You’ll Do
  • Supporting veterinarians during emergency cases
