Job summary

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists in Scottsdale, AZ is hiring full-time Veterinary Technicians for our Overnight Emergency team. You will provide end-to-end care for emergency patients during critical overnight hours, triaging urgent cases, assisting with procedures, and performing labs.

You will help admit and discharge patients, contributing to high-quality patient care. The role values a minimum of 2 years’ clinical veterinary experience, with CVT/RVT/LVT as a plus, and overnight shift

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• CVT/RVT/LVT active and current preferred.
• Experience in an Emergency Veterinary setting is preferred.
• Ability to work overnight shifts with rotating weekends.
• Strong anesthesia skills with vital sign monitoring and intervention.
• Positive work attitude and self-motivation.
• Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

• Triage urgent cases and provide hands-on nursing care during overnight hours.
• Assist with emergency procedures and perform veterinary lab tests.
• Support admitting and discharging patients as part of the team.
• Collaborate with doctors to integrate clinical findings for timely care.

Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technicians to join our Overnight Emergency team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Scottsdale, AZ.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our emergency patients during critical overnight hours. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of triaging urgent cases, assisting with emergency procedures, and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
• Experience in an Emergency Veterinary setting preferred
• Has ability to work overnight shifts with rotating weekends
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
• Possesses a positive work attitude
• Self-motivated
• Excellent communication and organization skills
