Thrive Pet Healthcare Specialists – Mansfield is seeking an Emergency Veterinary Technician for overnight shifts in Mansfield, TX. Join a 24/7 emergency team providing critical care with advanced diagnostics and a collaborative doctor–technician dynamic.
Ideal candidates have 1+ years in emergency veterinary tech, anesthesia monitoring, and post-operative care, with a passion for fast-paced emergency medicine and mentoring teammates.
Qualifications
- Minimum 1+ years of emergency veterinary technician
- ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged
- Strong anesthesia monitoring and surgical assisting skills
- Experience with post-operative and emergency patient care
- Ability to assess patient condition and respond in fast-paced situations
Responsibilities
- Supporting veterinarians during emergency exams, treatments, and procedures
- Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with emergency surgeries and post-operative care
- Providing emergency nursing care and first aid to injured or recovering patients
- Preparing patients and surgical instruments for procedures
- Monitoring and interpreting vital signs, including blood pressure, ECG, SpO₂, and EtCO₂
- Collecting laboratory samples and performing in-house diagnostics
- Operating digital radiography and advanced diagnostic equipment
- Administering medications and treatments as prescribed
- Accurately documenting patient histories and medical records
- Maintaining clean, sterile, and organized treatment, exam, and lab areas
- Mentoring and supporting fellow technicians and assistants

Overnights/Night Shift
Provide Critical Care When It Matters Most
Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT/RVT/CVT/VTS): $25.00–$35.00/hr + plus shift differential
Experienced Veterinary Technician (Unlicensed): $22.00-25.00/hr + plus shift differential
- Overnight ER without leadership or managerial expectations

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you’ll provide hands‑on care to critical patients by:
- Supporting veterinarians during emergency exams, treatments, and procedures
- Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with emergency surgeries and post‑operative care
- Providing emergency nursing care and first aid to injured or recovering patients

Required Experience & Skills

- ECC/CVT/LVT/RVT credentials encouraged

- Ability to assess patient condition and respond in fast‑paced situations
- Calm, focused, and confident under pressure
- Detail‑oriented with strong clinical judgment
- A collaborative team player who enjoys learning and growing in ECC
