BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians to work in our Emergency department.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:

• Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia in patients, using anesthesia/monitoring equipment.
• Triage emergency cases upon arrival, obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
• Perform digital radiography with proper technique and patient positioning.
• Understand normal ranges of vital signs and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs, alerting Veterinarian to changes.
• Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
• Calculate medical math, administer medications via appropriate routes, and perform phlebotomy and IV catheter placement.
• Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
• Mentor and train co-workers with patience and empathy, addressing client concerns effectively.
