BluePearl Pet Hospital is hiring experienced Veterinary Technicians for our Emergency department

At BluePearl Pet Hospital, the Veterinary Technician role is an exciting, fast-paced opportunity to utilize and expand your skills while working alongside talented veterinary professionals.

As an Emergency Veterinary Technician, you will:
  1. Induce, monitor, and recover anesthesia using proper equipment.
  2. Triages emergency cases, including obtaining vitals such as temperature, heart rate, respiratory rate, and blood pressure.
  3. Perform digital radiography with proper technique and positioning.
  4. Understand normal ranges of patient vital signs and alert veterinarians to any changes.
  5. Obtain and interpret blood pressure and other vital signs.
  6. Identify patients at risk for arrest and initiate CPR.
  7. Calculate medical dosages accurately, administer medications, perform phlebotomy, and place intravenous catheters.
  8. Place and maintain feeding tubes and central line catheters.
  9. Mentor and train colleagues.
  10. Address client concerns with patience and empathy.
