Job summary

VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our growing ER care team full time. Credentials desired but not required. We promote growth, development, and hands-on learning in a 24-hour emergency and specialty hospital.

The role features a collaborative culture with advanced equipment and specialty departments. Training is encouraged, and opportunities for career advancement are available.

Responsibilities

  • Anesthesia procedural monitoring
  • Collecting patient histories & physical exams
  • Medication refills and client communication
  • Venipuncture and IV placement
  • Hands Free Radiology with safety focus
  • Collaborate with all hospital services to care for patients
  • Provide compassionate care for all patients
  • Support growth and development through training and mentorship

VCA Capital Area Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Animal Hospital is seeking an enthusiastic veterinary technician to join our growing ER care team full time! Credentials desired but not required.

ER / ICU Veterinary Technician Responsibilities:
  • Anesthesia procedural monitoring
  • Full Technician Skill Utilization
  • Collecting patient histories & physical exams
  • Medication refills, and Pet parent communication
  • Proficient in medical calculations
  • Venipuncture / IVC placement
  • Hands Free Radiology (Associate safety a top priority)
  • Working collaboratively with team members of all hospital services
  • Providing compassionate care for all patients
Potential Schedule:

Full-time Day, Swing, or ON available

Compensation:

$ 20 - $35 / hour dependent on experience, skill set, and licensure status (VA - CVT)

VAs is ($20-$32)

CVTs ($25-$37)
