Job summary

Petco Animal Supplies, Inc. is seeking a Credentialed Veterinary Technician for our Vetco Total Care hospital in Houston, TX. You will work under veterinarians to provide high-quality patient care and exceptional client service.

The role requires at least 1 year of experience, strong communication skills, and a compassionate, team-oriented attitude. On-site position with opportunities to contribute to a dedicated pet care team and patient wellness initiatives.

Qualifications

• Must be a Credentialed Veterinary Technician in the state.
• Minimum 1 year of Veterinary Technician experience.
• Excellent written and oral communication with clients and team.

Responsibilities

• Greet clients and patients, obtain weight and vital signs, and document visits in the EMR.
• Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgery, dentistry, and euthanasia under supervision.
• Perform patient restraint, collect samples, handle medications, and maintain records.
• Schedule appointments, educate clients, update inventory, and manage accounts receivable.
• Prepare patients for procedures, monitor anesthesia, and assist with discharge.
