Job summary

The Animal Dental Center in York, PA, part of Ethos Veterinary Health, seeks a Veterinary Technician with dentistry focus to support advanced dental procedures alongside board-certified dentists in a collaborative learning environment. You'll work with CBCT imaging and state-of-the-art monitoring equipment to enhance patient care.

This full-time role (Tue–Fri) offers $23–$28/hour and a $1,000 sign-on bonus, plus benefits including health insurance and retirement options.

Qualifications

  • Three to five years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant.
  • RVT/LVT/CVT registration strongly preferred.
  • Experience with anesthesia, IV catheterization, surgical patient care, and recovery.
  • Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient and client care.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced specialty environment.
  • Independent initiative with teamwork mindset.
  • Proficient with veterinary dental software and related tech.

Responsibilities

Location: Animal Dental Center - York, PA

$23–28/hour | $1,000 Sign- on bonus for qualified candidates
Full-time | Tuesday - Friday | Hours can fluctuate based on the needs of the hospital and patients.

You’ll work alongside five board-certified veterinary dentists and five residents with more than 40 cumulative years of professional experience in veterinary dentistry and oral surgery. Using advanced technology, including CBCT imaging and state-of-the‑art monitoring and diagnostic equipment, you'll continue to develop your skills while caring for patients from across the Mid-Atlantic region.

In your day-to-day, you will:
  • Deliver exceptional nursing care to patients undergoing advanced dental and oral-surgical procedures.
  • Assist with anesthesia, IV catheter placement, patient preparation, and surgical support.
  • Monitor patients throughout anesthesia and recovery while ensuring patient safety and comfort.
  • Provide comprehensive pre-operative and post-operative nursing care.
  • Assist with advanced dental diagnostics and specialty procedures using state-of-the‑art equipment.
  • Educate clients on oral health, home care, and post-operative instructions.
  • Maintain accurate patient records and support efficient case management.
  • Prepare, clean, and maintain treatment areas, equipment, and specialty instruments.
  • Utilize veterinary dental software and specialty technology to support patient care.
  • Participate in continuing education and career development opportunities.
  • Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams.
  • Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture.
What You Bring
  • Three to five years of experience as a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant.
  • Registered, Licensed, or Certified Veterinary Technician (RVT, LVT, or CVT) strongly preferred.
  • Experience with anesthesia, IV catheterization, surgical patient care, and patient recovery.
  • Strong client communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, empathetic approach to patient and client care.
  • Strong work ethic with the ability to thrive in a fast‑paced specialty environment.
  • Ability to take initiative and manage responsibilities independently while collaborating effectively with the team.
  • Computer proficiency and the ability to learn veterinary dental software and specialty technology.
  • A collaborative mindset and commitment to exceptional patient care.
