Ethos Veterinary Health’s SAGE Campbell hospital in Campbell, CA is seeking a Veterinary Technician – Critical Care to support veterinarians in delivering advanced patient care overnight. You will monitor critically ill patients, assist with procedures, administer prescribed therapies, maintain records, and communicate clearly with owners while ensuring team coordination.

Qualified candidates have ER/CCU experience, a high school diploma, strong math skills for dosing and invoices, and CA VACSP

Qualifications

• 2+ years of clinical experience in an ER/CCU setting.
• Strong interpersonal skills.
• Must maintain VACSP or CA-RVT license eligibility or possession.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during treatments and procedures.
• Monitor critically ill or injured patients.
• Coordinate around-the-clock care and treatment plans.
• Communicate with owners regarding patient updates and plans.

$25–$40/hour, depending on experience and RVT status, plus shift differentials

Full-time opportunity in Campbell, California
Schedule: Full-time — overnight, Wednesday through Saturday

In your day-to-day, you will:

• Assist veterinarians during treatments and procedures
• Monitor critically ill or injured patients closely
• Collaborate with the team to ensure around-the-clock care and treatment coordination

• Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by veterinarians
• Assist with diagnostic procedures such as bloodwork and imaging
• Maintain accurate patient records and documentation
• Monitor and maintain medical equipment
• Communicate with pet owners regarding patient updates and treatment plans
• Respond promptly to changes in patient condition and provide emergency care as needed
• Work closely with veterinarians, technicians, and support teams
• Contribute to a positive, team-focused hospital culture

What You Bring

• High school diploma
• 2+ years of clinical experience in an ER/CCU setting required
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Consistent and reliable ability to perform mathematical calculations for drug doses, CRIs, client invoices and estimates, and other position-related calculations
• Maintain the California Veterinary Assistant Controlled Substance Permit (VACSP); must obtain within 60 days of hire or transfer into this role (this requirement is waived if incumbent holds a valid CA-RVT license)
