Job summary

Pima Medical Institute seeks an experienced Veterinary Technician Clinical Director to lead the clinical education component of its AVMA-accredited Veterinary Nursing Program at the Aurora campus.

Working with the Program Director, you will secure externship partnerships, schedule rotations, monitor student progress, and ensure AVMA accreditation standards are met. You may also teach in classroom and lab settings as needed.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in Veterinary Technology (AVMA-accredited) required or equivalent.
• Active RVT or CVT credential in Colorado or equivalent state license.
• Minimum of three years of practical veterinary field experience.
• Strong verbal and written communication; ability to demonstrate clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Secure and maintain clinical affiliation agreements meeting AVMA standards.
• Visit clinical sites to evaluate facilities and student progress.
• Schedule rotations and refine the clinical education plan with the Program Director.
• Conduct student orientations and track competency in field settings.
• Maintain accurate student records and support admissions as needed.
• Occasionally serve as a Veterinary Nursing instructor in classroom/lab settings.
