Job summary

CityVet in Colorado is hiring Veterinary Technician Assistants with a minimum of 1 year of experience. We are willing to train the right candidate and entry-level positions are available.

You will support veterinary technicians and veterinarians to ensure excellent patient care and efficient daily operations. Responsibilities include assisting in anesthesia, triage, and client communications, with opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED.
• 18+ years of age at hire.
• At least 1 year of veterinary industry experience.
• Ability to restrain animals safely.
• Knowledge of veterinary terminology and medication.
• Lift 50 lbs to waist height.
• Frequent standing, bending, walking, lifting, carrying, and reaching.
• Strong organizational skills.
• Excellent communication & listening skills.
• Self-motivated & team-oriented.

Responsibilities

• Assist VT in preparing patients for medical, surgical, and dental procedures, including anesthesia and restraint.
• Partner with Veterinarian and VT teams to triage patients based on client and facility needs.
• Aid VT with booked appointments, walk-ins, and recording observations in the patient file under doctor supervision.
• Assist the Client Service Specialist team when needed.
