What Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Do

Assist veterinarians with patient examinations, treatments, and procedures
Dispense and administer medications safely and accurately
Support surgical procedures, including IV catheter placement, patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, recovery, and discharge
Perform dental prophylaxis and assist with dental procedures
Obtain patient histories and maintain accurate medical records
Communicate effectively with clients regarding patient care and treatment plans
Collaborate with the team to provide outstanding medical care and client service
