Job summary

Countryside Veterinary Service-Middlefield is seeking a dedicated Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our four-doctor practice. We are passionate about caring for pets and the people who love them, and we know exceptional veterinary medicine starts with a strong, supportive team.

The role offers full-time scheduling (34–38 hours per week, with rotating Saturdays), opportunities for ongoing education, tuition support for tech licensing, and a robust benefits package including

Qualifications

  • Previous veterinary technician or assistant experience.
  • Strong client service and communication skills.
  • Ability to perform venipuncture, lab testing, IV catheter placement, and radiography.
  • Commitment to high standards of care in a fast-paced clinic.

Responsibilities

  • Provide compassionate patient care and exceptional client service.
  • Educate clients about hospital services, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
  • Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgical procedures, dentistry, treatments, and diagnostics.
  • Evaluate patients and communicate changes in condition or client concerns to the veterinary team.
  • Perform technical skills including venipuncture, laboratory testing, IV catheter placement, treatments, and radiography.
  • Admit, discharge, medicate, and monitor hospitalized patients.
  • Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.

Position Details

Role: Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant

Status: Full‑time

Salary: Negotiable and based on experience

Schedule: Three‑and‑a‑half to four days per week (34–38 hours), with rotating Saturdays

What Our Veterinary Technicians & Assistants Do
