Qualifications

• Credentialed Veterinary Technician preferred; experience welcome.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced clinical environment.
• Solid technical skills including venipuncture, IV catheter placement, and laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients and obtain histories, vital signs, and assessments.
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide high-quality nursing care from intake to discharge.
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection.
• Monitor patients and provide supportive care including pain scoring and wound care.
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring, surgery, and patient recovery.
• Support emergency and urgent care as needed.
• Conduct laboratory procedures and assist with diagnostics.
• Educate clients on care, medications, and preventive measures.
• Collaborate with team to deliver efficient patient care.
• Engage in ongoing training and growth opportunities.

What Our Certified Veterinary Technicians Do

• Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
• Assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and procedures
• Provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to patients from intake through discharge
• Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and sample collection
• Provide patient monitoring and supportive care, including TPRs, pain scoring, wound care, and more
• Assist with anesthesia monitoring, surgical care, and patient recovery
• Support emergency and urgent patient care as needed
• Perform laboratory procedures and assist with diagnostic testing
• Educate and communicate with clients about patient care, medications, discharge instructions, and preventative care
• Collaborate with veterinarians and fellow support team members to provide efficient, high-quality patient care
• Participate in ongoing training and growth opportunities within the practice

What Our Certified Veterinary Technicians Bring

• Experienced veterinary assistant and veterinary technician candidates are welcome
