Countryside Veterinary Service-Middlefield is hiring a Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant to join our four‑doctor practice. This full‑time position offers a collaborative team environment, competitive pay based on experience, and opportunities to develop clinical skills in a busy, pet‑friendly clinic.

Qualifications

Previous veterinary technician or veterinary assistant experience.
Excellent patient handling and nursing skills.
Experience with venipuncture, lab procedures, IV catheter placement, and radiography.
Strong communication and client service abilities.
Ability to multitask in a fast-paced clinical environment.

Responsibilities

Provide compassionate patient care and exceptional client service.
Educate clients about hospital services, treatment plans, medications, and preventive care.
Assist veterinarians with appointments, surgical procedures, dentistry, treatments, and diagnostics.
Evaluate patients and communicate changes in condition or client concerns to the veterinary team.
Perform technical skills including venipuncture, laboratory testing, IV catheter placement, treatments, and radiography.
Admit, discharge, medicate, feed, walk, and monitor hospitalized patients.
Safely handle and restrain animals of all sizes.
Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation.
Keep treatment areas clean, organized, stocked, and ready for patient care.
Stay current on medications, hospital protocols, and veterinary best practices.
Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high standards of care.

Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Three-and-a-half to four days per week (34–38 hours), with rotating Saturdays
