At Healing Hands Animal Hospital, we are dedicated to providing exceptional care to pets and their owners in the Burgaw, North Carolina area. As a Veterinary Technician Assistant, you will play a vital role in our mission to deliver top-notch patient care and client service.
Assist veterinarians with patients, including exams, procedures, and surgeries
Answer phones, handle client inquiries, and provide excellent customer service
Perform kennel cleaning and maintenance, exercise pets, and administer medications as needed
Participate in in-home care and support our team in providing comprehensive care to our patients
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of sanitation and safety
Experience as a RVT or Vet Tech Assistant, kennel attendant, or background in animal care is required
Willingness to work Saturdays, 8am-12pm
Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance
Ability to stand, sit, and walk for prolonged periods of time
Excellent communication skills
Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty while learning about animal care and medicine
Love of animals with no hesitance around unpredictable dogs, cats, small animals, and exotics
Ability to jump in wherever needed, covering a wide range of duties
