Job summary

Healing Hands Animal Hospital in Burgaw, NC seeks a licensed RVT to join our energetic clinic dedicated to keeping pets healthy and happy.

This role requires Saturday availability (8am-12pm on alternating weekends), physical fitness to lift 40 lbs, and strong communication as you support doctors and care for animals.

Qualifications

• Must be a licensed RVT.
• Willingness to work Saturdays 8am-12pm alternating.
• Ability to lift 40 lbs. without assistance.
• Ability to stand, sit and walk for prolonged periods of time.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Willingness to roll up your sleeves and get your hands dirty while learning about animal care and medicine.
• Love of animals with no hesitance around unpredictable dogs, cats, large animals and exotics.
• Must be willing and able to jump in wherever needed covering a wide range of duties including assisting the doctors with patients, answering phones, cleaning kennels, exercising pets and administering medications.

Responsibilities

• Assist doctors with patient examinations and procedures.
• Answer phones and schedule appointments.
• Clean kennels and maintain a tidy work area.
• Exercise and handle pets as needed.
• Administer medications under supervision.
