Job summary

Healing Hands Veterinary Hospital in Burgaw, NC is seeking a Veterinary Technician Assistant to support veterinarians during exams, procedures, and surgeries, and to help provide compassionate care to pets and their families.

You will answer phones, assist with kennel duties, administer medications, and help maintain a clean, safe work environment. The role offers part-time or full-time hours with Saturday shifts and no prior experience required—new graduates are welcome to join our growing team.

Qualifications

• Experience in animal care is required or preferred.
• Excellent communication skills are essential.
• Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and stand/walk for extended periods.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians with exams, procedures, and surgeries
• Answer phones, handle client inquiries, and provide excellent customer service
• Perform kennel cleaning and maintenance, exercise pets, and administer medications as needed
• Participate in in-home care and support our team in providing comprehensive care to our patients
• Maintain a clean and organized workspace, adhering to high standards of sanitation and safety
