Job summary

Wickford Veterinary Clinic in Rhode Island is seeking a Veterinary Technician to provide high-quality patient care across general practice, including surgery, anesthesia monitoring, dentistry, nursing care, and client education.

You will have the opportunity to work with exotic species and expand your skills while collaborating with a skilled veterinary team. This is a full-time position with a rotating Saturday schedule.

Pay is $20.00–$22.50 per hour, based on experience and education.

Qualifications

• 1-3 years of Veterinary Technician experience.
• Knowledge of anesthesia and patient monitoring.
• Phlebotomy experience.
• Knowledge of veterinary instruments, equipment, and patient care procedures.
• Understanding of sterilization techniques and surgical support responsibilities.
• Ability to schedule, receive, and treat patients while coordinating laboratory testing.
• Strong client service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE | NON-NEGOTIABLE

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS | NOT A DEAL BREAKER

• Associate's Degree in Veterinary Technology
• RVT credential
• Experience in general practice surgery and dentistry
• Interest in treating exotic patients
• Knowledge of drug calculations and anesthetic protocols
• Strong commitment to continuing education and professional growth
