Mass-RI Veterinary ER, part of COVE Animal Health, seeks an Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician in Swansea, MA. You will assess patients, perform emergency treatments, monitor anesthesia, assist in surgeries, and provide overnight care in a fast-paced emergency setting.

Ideal candidates have 3+ years of veterinary tech experience, strong teamwork, and the ability to work overnights and holidays as needed.

Overnight Emergency Veterinary Technician

Pay: $21.50-$28.00/hour (based on experience and education)
Schedule: Wednesday, Thursday, Friday | 10:00 PM-10:00 AM
Holiday Requirement: Two major holidays per year (Thanksgiving, Christmas, or New Year's)
Shift Differential: Applicable overnight differential

REQUIREMENTS FOR THIS ROLE | NON-NEGOTIABLE

• 3+ years of Veterinary Technician experience preferred; other experience levels considered
• Strong animal handling and patient restraint skills
• Venipuncture and IV catheter placement experience
• Knowledge of anesthesia, anesthetic monitoring, intubation, extubation, and recovery
• Medical math proficiency
• Ability to work independently in a fast-paced emergency environment
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
• Ability to remain calm and focused during emergencies
• Willingness to work overnight shifts and holiday coverage requirements

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS | NOT A DEAL BREAKER

• CVT credential
• Emergency or Urgent Care experience
• Surgical nursing experience
• Advanced anesthesia monitoring skills
• Experience with triage and emergency case management
• CPR certification or RECOVER training
• Passion for continued learning and professional growth
