Job summary

Dr. Norm’s Animal Hospital in Florida is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced clinical team.

You’ll assist veterinarians during exams, treatments, and surgery, perform Idexx lab work, take radiographs, and educate clients while delivering compassionate care. We offer a four-day workweek with rotating Saturdays, competitive hourly pay ($17.50–$20), strong benefits, 401(k) matching, tuition support, and opportunities for professional growth through CE and VTNE fee

• Must have a Veterinary Technician background with practical clinical skills.
• Strong technical and patient care abilities expected.
• Experience monitoring anesthesia and providing surgical support.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Perform in-house Idexx laboratory testing and diagnostics.
• Take and process digital radiographs.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Monitor anesthesia and recovery for patient safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate and detailed patient medical records.
• Educate clients on preventive care and nutrition.
• Restrain patients safely during exams and procedures.
• Care for hospitalized patients and monitor wellbeing.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization throughout the hospital.

What You’ll Do
