Job summary

Main Street Veterinary Hospital in Millis, MA is seeking an Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our team. This full-time role offers a schedule with no nights, weekends, or holiday hours, and a comprehensive benefits package designed to support work-life balance and professional growth.

You will triage patients, assist veterinarians, provide nursing care, administer medications, perform venipuncture and imaging, and maintain medical records as part of a collaborative and caring

Qualifications

• Licensed Veterinary Technician with strong clinical skills.
• Experience assisting with surgery and providing nursing care.
• Proficiency in venipuncture, catheter placement, lab work, and anesthesia monitoring.
• Excellent communication with clients and teammates.

Responsibilities

• Triage patients, obtain medical histories, vital signs, and assessments.
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures.
• Provide nursing care from admission to discharge.
• Administer medications, vaccines, treatments, and fluids as directed.
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, lab sample collection, and diagnostics.
• Obtain radiographs and maintain imaging standards.
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vitals during surgeries.
• Maintain accurate medical records and support patient care.

Position Details

Role: Experienced or Licensed Veterinary Technician
Status: Full-time
Salary: $22.00–$28.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday 8:00 a.m.–8:00 p.m.; Tuesday through Friday 8:00 a.m.–5:00 p.m. No nights, weekends, or holiday hours.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

• Triage patients and obtain thorough medical histories, vital signs, and patient assessments
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and dental procedures
• Provide compassionate nursing care from patient admission through discharge
• Administer medications, vaccines, treatments, and fluid therapy as directed
• Perform venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and diagnostic testing
• Obtain high-quality radiographs and maintain imaging standards
• Monitor anesthesia and patient vital signs throughout surgical procedures
• Maintain accurate medical records while supporting exceptional patient care
