Dr. Norm’s Animal Hospital in Panama City, FL is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician for a full-time role. We offer competitive pay and a 4-day workweek with rotating Saturdays.

You will assist veterinarians, perform in-house lab tests, take radiographs, administer medications, monitor anesthesia, and maintain detailed medical records while educating clients on preventive care and nutrition.

Qualifications

• Previous Veterinary Technician experience required.
• Strong technical and patient care skills.
• Experience with anesthesia monitoring and surgical support.
• Knowledge of laboratory diagnostics and radiology.
• Excellent communication and client education skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures.
• Perform in-house Idexx laboratory testing and diagnostics.
• Take and process digital radiographs.
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
• Monitor anesthesia and patient recovery for safety and comfort.
• Maintain accurate patient medical records.
• Educate clients on preventive care and nutrition.
• Care for hospitalized patients and monitor wellbeing.
• Keep the hospital clean and organized.

Salary: $17.50–$20 per hour, based on experience and skill level
Schedule: 4-day workweek with rotating Saturday shifts

What You’ll Do

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and surgical procedures
• Perform in-house Idexx laboratory testing and diagnostics
