Vetcor is seeking a compassionate Veterinary Technician or Veterinary Assistant in Illinois to join a dedicated team. This full-time position offers starting pay of $18.00 per hour with experience-based increases, and a schedule that supports work-life balance.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, and procedures.
• Provide compassionate daily care to hospitalized and recovering patients.
• Safely handle and restrain dogs, cats, rabbits, pocket pets, reptiles, and other species.
• Communicate with clients and provide education about pet care.
• Prepare laboratory specimens for diagnostic testing.
• Assist with obtaining diagnostic radiographs.
• Prepare patients and equipment for surgical procedures.
• Assist veterinarians during surgeries and dental procedures.
• Monitor patients and communicate changes in condition to the veterinary team.
• Maintain clean, organized treatment and patient-care areas.
• Assist with cleaning, laundry, and other tasks that keep the hospital running smoothly.
• Maintain accurate patient records and follow hospital protocols.
