Job summary

Animal Hospital at the Crossing in Illinois is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our three-doctor team. You will provide outstanding nursing care from patient admission through discharge and assist veterinarians during examinations, surgeries, and procedures.

We offer a four-day work week with rotating Saturday shifts, no nights or on-call duties, competitive compensation based on experience, and a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, retirement

Qualifications

• Licensed CVT credential required.
• Experience providing nursing care and client communication.
• Ability to assist with surgeries and anesthesia.
• Strong teamwork and compassion for patients.

Responsibilities

• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
• Provide exceptional nursing care from patient admission through discharge
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, laboratory sample collection, and in-house diagnostics
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Monitor anesthesia and assist with surgical and dental procedures
• Obtain high-quality diagnostic radiographs
• Educate clients regarding medications, treatment plans, and preventive care
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
• Collaborate with teammates to deliver outstanding patient care while maintaining an efficient workflow
