Job summary

Ironwood Animal Hospital, part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare family in San Tan Valley, AZ, is hiring a full-time Veterinary Technician. You will care for patients from outpatient treatments to labs and assist with admissions and discharges under veterinary supervision.

The role requires at least 2 years of clinical veterinary experience; active CVT/RVT/LVT preferred, with strong anesthesia and communication skills. Join a growing network focused on animal well-being.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician.
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred.
• Strong anesthesia skills (BP, ECG, SpO2, EtCO2) and clinical reasoning.

Responsibilities

• Provide end-to-end care for patients, including outpatient treatments and lab testing.
• Assist doctors with anesthesia and monitoring as needed.
• Support admissions and discharges of patients.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing end-to-end care for our precious patients. Your life-changing work will range from the hands-on care of facilitating outpatient treatments and performing laboratory tests, to support services including admitting and discharging patients.

Your Experience & Skills

• Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician (direct patient care)
• CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
• Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
• Possesses a positive work attitude
• Self-motivated
• Excellent communication and organization skills
