Job summary

Arizona Veterinary Dental Specialists is seeking a full-time Veterinary Technician to join Thrive Pet Healthcare in Gilbert, AZ. You’ll support anesthesia monitoring, patient care, and dental specialty procedures, guiding patients through admission and discharge with compassion.

You’ll grow through Thrive’s learning programs, with opportunities to advance in a nationwide network of specialty hospitals and access to continuing education and career development.

Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant.
  • CVT/RVT/LVT active and current preferred.
  • Superior/advanced communication skills.
  • Strong anesthesia skills with monitoring (BP, ECG, SpO2, EtCO2).
  • Positive work attitude and self-motivation.
  • Excellent communication and organization skills.

Responsibilities

  • Provide hands-on technical care including anesthesia monitoring and patient care during dental procedures.
  • Support laboratory testing and preparation for advanced dental/oral surgery.
  • Assist doctors in early intervention and treatment planning.
  • Guide patients through admission and discharge with clear communication.

Arizona Veterinary Dental Specialists is looking for a full-time Veterinary Technician to join our team as part of the Thrive Pet Healthcare community in Gilbert, AZ.

About You

You’ll play an important role in pets’ lives by providing exceptional care for patients undergoing advanced dental and oral surgery procedures. Your life-changing work will range from hands‑on technical responsibilities, including anesthesia monitoring, patient care, and laboratory testing, to supporting specialty dentistry services and guiding patients through admission and discharge.

Your Experience & Skills
  • Minimum 2 years of clinical veterinary experience as a Veterinary Technician/Assistant
  • CVT/RVT/LVT (active and current) preferred
  • Superior/advanced communication skills
  • Has strong anesthesia skills (Able to obtain Blood pressure, ECG, Sp02, and ETC02 and integrate clinical signs with disease processes to assist doctors in early and appropriate intervention of patient care)
  • Possesses a positive work attitude
  • Self‑motivated
  • Excellent communication and organization skills
