Job summary

Lafayette Animal Hospital in Portsmouth, NH is seeking an experienced Veterinary Technician who thrives in a fast-paced seacoast setting. You will room patients, assist in surgery, place IV catheters, draw blood, run bloodwork, and support client education while contributing as a positive team member.

Open Monday–Friday 8-6 and Saturday 8-2 with 30–40 hours weekly. Pay range $20–$26 per hour, based on experience, with full benefits for full-time staff.

• 2+ years in the veterinary industry (preferred).
• Experience with surgical and anesthetic cases (preferred).
• Knowledge of basic industry tools and equipment.
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint.
• Believes in the importance of client education.
• Compassionate toward patients and clients.

Lafayette Animal Hospital is actively looking for an Experienced Veterinary Technician who enjoys being on the seacoast of New Hampshire. We are a fun, fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high standard of care for our patients. We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Veterinary Technician who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, has experience with x-ray and proper positioning, understands the importance of client education, and is a supportive and positive team player. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and growing, and Lafayette Animal Hospital encourages its staff to do the same. About the Hospital:

Lafayette Animal Hospital is a fast-paced hybrid clinic that offers general practice services along with walk-in, urgent care, and emergency care for our patients. We are a team that loves to have fun and does not shy away from much! We are open from 8-6 Monday through Friday and 8-2 Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.

Pay Range: $20 - $26 (based on experience)

Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week
