Job summary

Lafayette Animal Hospital in Portsmouth, NH is actively seeking an Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our fast-paced, seacoast practice. The role involves rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, with experience in x-ray positioning and client education.

We value a compassionate, team-focused approach and ongoing growth. Open hours are 8-6 Mon-Fri and 8-2 Saturdays, with a pay range of $20–$26 per hour and 30–40 hours per week.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in the veterinary industry (preferred).
• Experience with surgical and anesthetic cases (preferred).
• Knowledge of basic industry tools and equipment
• Experience with proper animal handling and restraint
• Believes in the importance of client education

Responsibilities

• Room patients and assist in surgeries.

Lafayette Animal Hospital is actively looking for an Experienced Veterinary Technician who enjoys being on the seacoast of New Hampshire. We are a fun, fast-paced environment while still maintaining a high standard of care for our patients. We are seeking an organized, compassionate, and service-oriented Veterinary Technician who is confident in rooming patients, assisting in surgery, placing IV catheters, drawing blood and running bloodwork, has experience with x-ray and proper positioning, understands the importance of client education, and is a supportive and positive team player. Excellent communication and organizational skills are a must. The veterinary industry is constantly advancing and growing, and Lafayette Animal Hospital encourages its staff to do the same. About The Hospital

Lafayette Animal Hospital is a fast-paced hybrid clinic that offers general practice services along with walk-in, urgent care, and emergency care for our patients. We are a team that loves to have fun and does not shy away from much! We are open from 8-6 Monday through Friday and 8-2 Saturdays. We are closed on Sundays.

Pay Range: $20 - $26 (based on experience)

Hours: 30 - 40 hours per week
