Job summary

Lincoln Square Veterinary Hospital is seeking a Licensed or Experienced Veterinary Technician to join our AAHA-accredited practice on a part-time basis. You will provide compassionate nursing care, administer medications, and assist with anesthesia and dentistry while upholding high standards of patient care.

Qualifications

• Current Veterinary Technician licensure or relevant Veterinary Technician experience.
• Strong technical and patient-care skills.
• Experience with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, radiology, and laboratory procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient nursing care.
• Administer medications (subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, oral).

Position Details

Role: Licensed or Experienced Veterinary Technician

Status: Part-time

Salary: $28–$32 per hour

Schedule: Two-day workweek — Friday and Sunday, 8:00 AM–8:00 PM

What Our Veterinary Technicians Do

• Provide compassionate inpatient and outpatient nursing care
• Administer subcutaneous, intramuscular, intravenous, and oral medications
• Manage patient admissions and discharges
• Perform venipuncture and IV catheter placement
• Assist with surgical procedures
• Induce, maintain, monitor, and recover patients from anesthesia
• Perform radiology and dentistry procedures
• Complete accurate drug calculations
• Run in-house laboratory testing and prepare reference laboratory requisitions
• Communicate clearly and compassionately with clients
• Dispense medications according to veterinarian orders
• Perform technician appointments
• Maintain accurate medical records and patient documentation
• Collaborate with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient care
