Lyncourt Veterinary Hospital, part of Vetcor, in Syracuse, NY is seeking a Licensed Veterinary Technician to join our busy four-doctor small animal practice. We welcome both experienced technicians and new graduates to contribute to high-quality medical care and outstanding client service.

Responsibilities include surgical assistance, anesthesia monitoring, lab work, radiology, and maintaining medical records, with a strong emphasis on continued learning in a collaborative team environment.

Responsibilities

  • Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgery, and other medical procedures.
  • Monitor anesthesia and provide attentive patient care before, during, and after procedures.
  • Perform surgical preparation and assist during surgical procedures.
  • Collect laboratory samples and perform in-house diagnostic testing.
  • Take high-quality radiographs while following radiation safety protocols.
  • Prepare, dispense, and maintain pharmacy medications.
  • Monitor hospitalized patients and communicate patient updates to the medical team.
  • Maintain complete and accurate medical records.
  • Answer client phone calls and provide exceptional customer service.
  • Educate clients on medications, preventive care, and discharge instructions.

Salary: $23.00-$26.00 per hour (depending on experience)

Schedule: 4 day work week with 1 day off during the week - no Saturdays/Sundays

We are dedicated to active learning, and our Veterinary Technicians play an integral role in providing excellent medical care to our patients and customer service to our clients.
