Meredith Place Veterinary Emergency in Meredith, NH is seeking a Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) to join our fast-paced emergency team. The role offers full-time hours, day-long 12-hour shifts, and four weekend shifts monthly, with competitive compensation based on experience.

You will assist veterinarians in exams, treatments, and procedures, provide nursing care to hospitalized patients, and perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and diagnostics.

Qualifications

• CVT certification required.
• Emergency or critical care experience preferred; motivated GP technicians encouraged.
• Strong technical skills with venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, and patient care.
• Ability to stay calm in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent communication and teamwork.
• Compassionate, dependable, and committed to patient care.

Responsibilities

• Assisting veterinarians with emergency examinations, treatments, and procedures
• Providing compassionate nursing care for hospitalized patients
• Performing venipuncture, IV catheter placement, blood draws, and laboratory sample collection
• Administering medications and fluid therapy as directed
• Monitoring anesthesia and assisting with surgical procedures when needed
• Taking and positioning patients for digital radiographs and other diagnostics
• Monitoring patient recovery and recognizing changes in patient condition
• Educating clients on treatments, medications, and discharge instructions
• Maintaining accurate medical records and supporting a smooth hospital workflow

What You'll Do

What We're Looking For

• Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) required
