Preston Center Animal Clinic is a full-service animal hospital providing comprehensive pet healthcare services in Dallas, Texas, serving the neighborhood since opening in 1960. Our knowledgeable and tenured team is committed to promoting the health of the dogs and cats we care for while developing and maintaining strong relationships with their owners. Our facility has advanced medical equipment and technologies, including comprehensive in‑house lab testing, digital x‑ray and ultrasound, a surgical suite, and a dental suite.

We are seeking a reliable and dedicated Veterinary Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for pets and their people, possess strong technical skills, and be able to provide outstanding customer service. As a Veterinary Technician at Preston Center Animal Clinic, you will assist the veterinarians with medical procedures and treatments, provide care to the pets, and be cross‑trained to provide assistance when needed in other areas and roles within the clinic.

What Our Veterinary Technicians Bring
  • Certified Veterinary Technician (CVT) or Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) preferred (not required)
  • Minimum of 1‑2 years of experience working as a technician in a clinical setting
  • Proficiency in basic veterinary medical procedures and terminology
  • Strong technical skills, including venipuncture, catheter placement, and anesthesia monitoring
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with team members and clients
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment while maintaining attention to detail
  • Flexibility to work some Saturdays and holidays as needed
What You’ll Contribute
  • Safe and effective patient handling and restraint
  • Knowledge of preventative care and vaccines
  • Attentive induction, monitoring, and recovery of surgical patients
  • Emergency and surgical care - including IV catheter placement and intubation
  • Obtaining diagnostics - including radiographs, phlebotomy, and sample collection, and performing in‑house lab work
  • Professional, compassionate communication with clients and staff
  • Succinct documentation of patient records and client interactions
