Veterinary Technician
Preston Royal Animal Clinic, Dallas, TX – Full‑time (30–40 hours per week, with day, evening, weekend, and holiday shifts; one weekend shift required).

Passionate about animal care, highly motivated, and detail oriented. Veterinary Technicians work side by side with Veterinarians and the medical team to provide quality care.
Job Duties
- Support veterinarians to ensure quality veterinary care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
- Assist with surgeries and procedures in accordance with state Veterinary Practice Act for credentialed technicians.
- Monitor and assess patient status.
- Collect blood and other samples for testing.
- Place catheters.
- Communicate with clients about individualized pet health concerns and offer guidance on membership options, medications, and treatments.
- Assist in maintaining comprehensive medical records using practice systems.
- Obtain health history and maintain medical charts.
- Use safe restraining techniques, follow standard protocols, and maintain clean, sterile, organized treatment areas, exam rooms, and labs.
- Guide, mentor, and support fellow team members.
Experience & Skills Requirements
- Veterinary technician licensure preferred but not required.
- 1–2 years of clinical experience.
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree from an AVMA‑accredited veterinary technology program preferred; or equivalent education, training, and experience.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks such as squatting, reaching, standing, and walking throughout the day.
