Compensation: $25 - $27 / hour plus overnight differential

Compensation negotiable based on credentials and experience, with a starting range of $25 - $27 / hour. The actual rate will consider skills, qualifications, experience, and location.

We are looking for a Veterinary Technician to join us as part of Thrive Pet Healthcare.

As a Veterinary Technician, you’ll provide end-to-end care, from outpatient treatments and lab tests to admitting and discharging patients.

Role Responsibilities:

  • Support veterinarians to ensure quality care, advocate for pets, and educate clients.
  • Assist with hospital functions to maximize productivity and maintain patient flow.
  • Assist with surgeries and procedures per state regulations.
  • Communicate with clients about pet health, Thrive Membership, medications, and treatments.
  • Maintain medical records and client communication.
  • Use safe restraining techniques, follow protocols, and keep treatment areas clean.
  • Support and mentor team members.

Experience & Skills:

  • Motivated team player, proactive.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • 2-3 years as a veterinary technician or assistant.
  • Emergency experience preferred but not required.

Training is tailored to your skills, focusing on learning, growth, and mastery. Tasks include lab work, surgery prep, anesthesia, patient monitoring, IV placement, radiology, medication administration, CPR, charting, triaging, transfusions, and client communication.
