Job summary

Turkeyfoot Family Pet Center is hiring an RVT or experienced veterinary technician for a full‑time role in Akron, Ohio. Schedule is weekdays with rotating Saturdays; no nights or holidays.

Qualifications

  • Registered Veterinary Technician credential or relevant experience.
  • Strong technical skills: venipuncture, IV catheter placement, anesthesia monitoring, laboratory procedures.
  • Experience with digital radiography and diagnostic sample collection.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed.
  • Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and laboratory sample collection.
  • Obtain high‑quality digital radiographs.
  • Run in‑house laboratory diagnostics (CBCs, chemistry panels, urinalysis, cytology).
  • Assist with surgical and dental procedures, including anesthesia monitoring and patient recovery.
  • Provide compassionate nursing care and patient monitoring throughout hospitalization.
  • Educate clients on medications, treatment plans, preventive care, and discharge instructions.
  • Collaborate closely with doctors and teammates to provide exceptional patient care.

Position Details

Role: Registered Veterinary Technician (RVT) or Experienced Veterinary Technician.

Status: Full-time (32–40 hours per week based on your preference).

Salary: Negotiable based on experience and credentials.

Schedule: Monday through Friday, 7:15 AM–6:00 PM, rotating Saturdays; no nights or holidays.
