Charlotte Animal Referral and Emergency (CARE) in Charlotte, NC is seeking a Recruiter to support 24/7 emergency and specialty care with a focus on high-volume staffing needs. You will partner with hiring managers, draft postings, source candidates, and coordinate interviews across departments.

The role handles offers, pre-employment checks, onboarding, and compliance, while maintaining recruitment metrics and a strong candidate experience. HTH support and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• 2 years of recruiting or HR experience, ideally in healthcare or veterinary settings
• Experience with high-volume recruiting and coordinating interviews
• Knowledge of federal and state employment laws
• Strong communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills
• Excellent organization and attention to detail; ability to multitask

Responsibilities

• Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs and shift coverage
• Draft and post job descriptions on ATS, job boards, and social media
• Source candidates through boards, networks, referrals, and outreach
• Screen applications and conduct initial phone screens
• Maintain active pipeline for high-volume and hard-to-fill roles
• Schedule interviews and coordinating travel as needed
• Prepare offer letters and manage pre-employment requirements
• Ensure compliance with employment laws and complete I-9s
• Coordinate new hire paperwork and onboarding readiness
• Track recruiting metrics and report findings
• Represent CARE at career events and build relationships with organizations
